How Does Math Anxiety Affect Students' Academic Achievement in Mathematics? —A Meta-Analysis Based on 31 Experimental Studies
IECE Transactions on Social Statistics and Computing | Volume 1, Issue 4: 123-134, 2024 | DOI: 10.62762/TSSC.2024.672218
Abstract
In the stage of compulsory education, there are still many researches on the relationship between math anxiety and students' math achievement. If we cannot understand the internal mechanism between students' emotions and learning performance, we cannot establish a microfoundation for monitoring the quality of compulsory education. In order to further identify the logical relationship between math anxiety and students' math achievement, we systematically collected 31 relevant literature from 2014 to 2024, including a total of 106,636 student samples, and conducted a meta-analysis based on the random effects model. The results show that the correlation coefficient between math anxiety and stud... More >

The Influences of Transformational Leadership on the Organizational Innovation Performance
IECE Transactions on Social Statistics and Computing | Volume 1, Issue 4: 105-122, 2024 | DOI: 10.62762/TSSC.2024.300794
Abstract
This study aims to explore the enhancement of corporate innovation and performance by analyzing the internal and external corporate environments and their synergistic effects. It emphasizes the importance of human capital, with a spotlight on leaders as the primary shapers of the internal corporate environment. Drawing from existing literature, a theoretical framework is established to investigate the effects of transformational leadership on organizational innovation outcomes. Through the creation of scales and questionnaires, a survey was conducted at Beijing T Company, and the data was empirically analyzed using regression techniques. The findings indicate that transformational leadership... More >

Enhancing Energy Performance in Irish Dwellings: A Machine Learning Approach to Retrofit Interventions
IECE Transactions on Social Statistics and Computing | Volume 1, Issue 4: 92-104, 2024 | DOI: 10.62762/TSSC.2024.898106
Abstract
This research investigates the impact of retrofit interventions on the energy performance of domestic buildings in Ireland using predictive machine learning (ML) models. The study applies machine learning models to classify Building Energy Rating (BER) for dwellings in County Dublin Ireland. Keeping the focus on selecting features in a highly correlated dataset, the study predicts energy ratings with an accuracy of 69 percent. Light Gradient Boosting Machine Classifier is observed for best performance among twenty plus ML models applied for prediction. The study also performs retrofit experiments on dwelling features and evaluate their effectiveness towards improving the energy performance o... More >
